A reader wrote in to Sue Shellenbarger of the Wall St. Journal for some advice.  The poor guy had lost a great boss who inspired the team, and he was now reporting to someone who was not as good at strategy or motivating the group.

I’ve had some good bosses, and some should-never-have-been-bosses, and some in-between.  Those good ones are so wonderful that it’s a shock to the system when they move on to a new role!
